Lucas Pouille and Jan-Lennard Struff engage in ping pong rally at Stuttgart Open

The countdown is on for Wimbledon but there's already plenty to look forward to if this rally from France's Lucas Pouille and Germany's Jan-Lennard Struff is anything to go by.

The pair met in the quarter-finals of the Stuttgart Open in Germany with Struff serving for the match and Pouille determined to do everything that was humanly possible to hang on.

After Struff stretched out to just reach Pouille's return off his serve, the Frenchman was forced to motor to the net to try and keep the point alive.

The pair then engaged in a rally that would look more at home on a ping pong table than a grass tennis court before Pouille gained the upper hand.

It proved to be a pivotal moment with Pouille going on to win the match 4-6, 7-6, 7-6 and he was quick to tweet his delight at the result afterwards.

"That's one way to save a match point.. So happy I won this match, it was a tough one to launch the grass season," he said.
