When it comes to preparing for success Lleyton's advice is not to overthink. He says, "It comes down to what you can control, and to having that guidance when you need it. It's very easy to think too far ahead."

It's a mindset he has held throughout his career.
“Over the years I think I pride myself on not looking too far ahead…,” he told tennis.com.au in 2015. “Even when I was No. 1 in the world, I always played every match on its merits, gave the utmost respect to my opponents who I had to play.”
