Ebden bows out in Open second round

Matthew Ebden's summer resurgence has come to an end with a second-round exit at the Australian Open.

The Australian No.2 fell to Ukrainian Alexandr Dolgopolov 7-6 (7-0) 6-3 6-4.

World No.37 Dolgopolov had to overcome a bizarre moment early in the second set when he lost his shoe and the referee was called onto the court following his protests after losing the point.
