Five-time Australian Open quad singles champion Dylan Alcott has shown that even he can make a blunder on a tennis court after his win over Heath Davidson.

Alcott, who is aiming to win his sixth consecutive Aus Open this year, began his campaign with a relatively comfortable 6-2 6-0 win against his countryman, but the moment of the match came after the win.

After he finished shaking hands Davidson, Alcott went around the court hitting balls to fans in the crowd at Court 8, but hilarious missed the crowd with his first two shot attempts, prompting laughter from all around.

Alcott, who is nigh on unbeatable in Melbourne, eventually regained his composure and managed to drill the remainder of his shots into the crowd.

Davidson, Alcott's doubles partner, started the match in positive fashion, working his great mate around the court in the first half of the opening set.

However, after keeping up with Alcott in the initial stages, Davidson gave up a break point to go down 2-4 in the first set, Alcott's class took over.

The 29-year-old reeled off two consecutive games to close out the first set before holding Davidson to love in the second set to advance.
