Dylan Alcott to donate $40,000 to bushfire relief fund after claiming sixth straight Australian Open title
Dylan Alcott has continued his monopoly over the Australian Open, claiming his sixth consecutive Quad Singles title in a win over great rival Andy Lapthorne.
Alcott was briefly pushed by Lapthorne, the man who defeated in last year's US Open final, before steadying to coast to a 6-0 6-4 win at Rod Laver Arena.
Following the match, Alcott revealed that he will donate an incredible $40,000 to people with a disability that have been affected by Australia's bushfire crisis.
Alcott has become a source of inspiration for young people with disabilities all around the world, and he took the time to deliver another important message to the youth.
"If you look around the top row, every single person on the top row pretty much has a disability and is in a disability seat," he said.

"To any young person, please keep doing what you're doing and I promise you as we keep continuing to grow, society will support you and help you do whatever you want to do like it's done for me."
Alcott was also full of praise for the Australian Open after the win, calling it the "most inclusive" of all four Grand Slams around the world.
"Tennis honestly saved my life and the Australian Open single-handedly changed my life," he said after the win.
"It's the most inclusive of the Grand Slams. To be able to back us to come out here and put on a show live on TV all over the world in front of this unbelievable crowd.
"I love every single one of you for supporting what we do."
While the match itself was incredibly entertaining, with both men hitting an array of impressive winners, it ended in an anticlimactic manner.
Facing a championship point, Lapthorne elected not to hit a high shot from Alcott, instead opting to go for a challenge, only for Hawkeye to show the ball landing in.
"I hate hawkeye first of all," Lapthorne joked after the loss.
"Congrats to Dylan. Unbelievable achievement to win here again. Unreal.
"I've come here for many years and sat in the stands watching Andy Murray and heard, 'Come on Andy' and for that Andy to be me today is unbelievable."
