The photo of a young Ash Barty holding a tennis racquet and a trophy went viral ahead of the 2019 Roland-Garros final, which the Australian won.
Less than three years later, Barty announced a shock retirement from the sport in March 2022.
"It's hard to say, but I'm so happy and I'm so ready and I just know at the moment in my heart, for me as a person, this is right," Barty said.
"I know I've done this (retired) before but in a very different feeling and I am so grateful to everything that tennis has given me.
"It's given me all of my dreams, plus more, but I know that the time is right now for me to step away and chase other dreams and to put the racquets down."

The world No.1 can now add an Australian Open championship to her victories at Roland-Garros and Wimbledon.
Barty became the first local woman to win her home grand slam since Chris O'Neil lifted the trophy in 1978.
