Now this is embarrassing.

Two fans at the Australian Open were caught on camera in one of the most trivial spats you’ll ever see.

The women were catching the action between No. 11 seed Aryna Sabalenka and Britain’s Katie Boulter, when Sabalenka tossed her sweatband into the crowd after beating Boulter.

Embarrassing stuff. AAP

Little did she know the fuss she had caused as the both ladies tried to wrestle the sweaty ban off each other for about a minute, before security arrived and had to break them up.

Making the matter even more humiliating for both women, security confiscated the headband and escorted each of them from the venue.

AAP photographer Hamish Blair captured the stand-off and told The Age that the incident went on for closer to five minutes.

"I heard the woman on the right say something along the lines of 'I could stay here all day'," Mr Blair said.

"Everyone in the crowd was laughing, it was hilarious.
