Ash Barty through to Adelaide International semi-finals

Ash Barty is through to the semi-finals of the Adelaide International after defeating Marketa Vondrousova.

In the rematch of last year's French Open final, Barty defeated her Czech opponent once again in straight sets, 6-3 6-3.

Vondrousova was playing in her first tournament after six months on the sidelines managing a wrist injury.

But the Aussie notched 20 winners and saved and in impressive six of seven break points in a match lasting one hour and 21 minutes.

Despite cruising through the match, Barty admitted there's things in her game she needs to work on.

"It's getting better and better with each match I have played," Barty said.

"That is just a gradual progression of spending time on court and spending time in that competition mode, but all-in-all pretty happy with tonight.

"There are a few things that I'd like to fix for tomorrow, I'm not really concerned about Monday at the moment.

"The beauty is, I have done enough to get myself in the position where I get another opportunity to try and rectify those things."

Yet to drop a single set to the Czech, today's win hands Barty a 4-0 head-to-head record over Vondrousova.

Barty will now face Danielle Collins who's coming off a big win over No.4 seed Belinda Bencic, who she defeated 6-3 6-1 .
