Tennis pro nearly hits boat with tee shot
Professional tennis player Nicole Gibbs has committed one of golf’s cardinal sins after teeing off in the picturesque British Virgin Islands.
The world No.76 was on Necker Island for a pro-am tournament hosted by Sir Richard Branson when she decided to work on her golf swing.
Teeing it up on the beach, the American cracked a sweet-looking drive into the picturesque turquoise water.

However, there was one major problem – Gibbs forgot to check if the way was clear before hitting off.
Gibbs’ lapse of one of golf’s main rules nearly saw her drive fly in front of a boat that cruised into view at the last second.
She did raise her hand in apology but it was too close a call not to deserve the familiar ‘fore’ to called out over the water.
