Yet more short course gold for Seebohm

Two-time Olympic relay champion Emily Seebohm has clinched a fifth gold medal at the Australian Short Course Championships in Melbourne with victory in the 200m IM.

Seebohm clocked 2:06.75 in claiming what was her 31st Australian short course title on Saturday night.

In his return to elite competition following a FINA ban for missing three drug tests, Thomas Fraser-Holmes won gold in 4:04.55 in the 400m IM ahead of local David Schlicht (4:05.28) and Queenslander Jared Gilliland (4:08.09).

Brisbane's Zac Stubblety-Cook proved he will be one to watch in future, the 18-year-old winning the breaststroke 200m in 2:04.94, beating his own time from last year's event, ahead of South Australian James McKechnie (2:08.39) for silver and World Championships relay silver medallist Daniel Cave (2:08.65) for bronze.

Commonwealth Games silver medallist Laura Taylor picked up gold in the 200m butterfly, while David Morgan snagged his second win in the 100m fly.

Crowd favourite Cameron McEvoy came away with the 50m freestyle crown and Olympian Ariarne Titmus the 200m free.

Commonwealth Games champion Mitch Larkin took the 100m backstroke title.

Seebohm, McEvoy and Larkin headline a 20-strong squad named after Saturday's competition, to go to the World Short Course Championships in Hangzhou in December.
