Cate Campbell confirms plans to compete in Paris in Olympic swansong
Cate Campbell has confirmed plans to compete in the 2024 Olympic Games, potentially making her the first Australian swimmer to compete at five Olympics.
Speaking on Nine's Today, Campbell says she has pencilled in Paris and will start training in the new year.

"I think Paris is a major drawcard for me, it looks so great and what they have planned looks phenomenal," she said.
"They're planning on having the opening ceremony on the River Seine they'll have some of the new sports in the Olympics."

If she swims in Paris she will become the first Australian swimmer to attend five Olympics, with American Michael Phelps the only other swimmer to compete in as many Games.
"Phelps has done five in the US but in Australia I'd be the first one crazy enough to do it," she added.
"Everyone got away from the pool and the black line long before me. There's something about the sport where I want to go around one more time and it's nice to know this will be the last time so I can just soak in everything and enjoy every moment. I didn't really get the sense in Tokyo."
In Japan, Campbell and her sister Bronte were part of the team that broke the world record in taking gold in the 4x100m freestyle relay.
It was Cate's third straight gold medal in the women's relay after also being part of victories in Rio and London.
She also took home bronze in the 100m freestyle final and performed a last-lap sprint to put Australia in front in the medley relay to win her fourth Olympic gold medal.
