Larkin into Olympic 200m backstroke final

Australia's Mitch Larkin has qualified second-fastest for the Olympic 200m backstroke final.

The dual world champion clocked 1 minute 54.73 seconds in Wednesday night's semi-final, finishing second behind Russian pacesetter Evgeny Rylov.

Fellow Australian Josh Beaver missed the cut for Thursday night's final after placing fifth in his semi-final in 1:56.57 - the 10th quickest time.
