Summer EPL spending cracks $1 billion mark

Transfer spending in the EPL reached $1.07 billion this summer, with four weeks still left to go until the window closes.
Raheem Sterling's move to Manchester City for an initial fee of $103 million has been the highest, so far.
Both Liverpool and Manchester United snared three of the top 10 most expensive transfers, spending $156.5 million and $145,3 million respectively.
