Streaker tackles player, sparks brawl, escapes

A streaker at a university rugby match in England has been condemned after tackling a player and sparking an all-in brawl, but then somehow managing to escape.

Newcastle University had just managed to pierce Northumbria's defence and were carrying the ball down the field when the naked intruder decided it would be a good idea to make his mark on the match.He waits for the action to come his way and in an extraordinary act tackles the ballcarrier, pushing him across the sideline.Newcastle's players were clearly incensed and let the streaker know about it, before a Northumbria player bizarrely intervenes and sparks an all-in brawl.The match referee takes several minutes to calm the ensuing madness and when security are finally able to turn their attention to the streaker, he is nowhere to be seen.

Replays show he made his escape as the players fought. It's not known whether he has since been punished.
