World Superbike rider Javier Fores' Ducati catches fires during qualifying

World Superbikes rider Javier Fores managed to escape a scary moment while qualifying on his Ducati for the race in Spain.

Fores’ bike somehow caught on fire, rapidly growing in strength while he was manoeuvering his way around the track.

The Spaniard stayed on his bike for more than ten seconds as the fire eventually covered his entire body causing him to get off in haste while his Ducati was engulfed in flames.

The 31-year-old suffered burns to his neck and other parts of his body, but his main concern was racing on Sunday, with the local hoping to suit up for his home race.

If he is available to race, Fores will line up on the second row of the grid with Britain’s Chaz Davies claiming Superpole off the back of setting a new qualifying record.
