Skydiver sets fire to own 'chute with gun

A daredevil has pushed the boundaries in spectacular fashion by setting his parachute alight after jumping out of a plane.

Footage of the death-defying stunt shows a skydiver from the Live the Dream project jump from a plane with an opened parachute that had been doused in petrol.

Part of the way through his descent, he pulls a flare gun from his belt and shoots the ‘chute.

The parachute immediately burst into flames before he releases it and allows it to fly away.

After the second lengthy free fall, the stuntman pulls a second 'chute and lands safely.
