Beale sidelined for up to six months
AAP
Wallabies star Kurtley Beale has officially been ruled out for the rest of the Super Rugby season and the three-Test home series against England with a serious knee injury.
Scans have revealed the playmaker has torn his patella tendon and will be sidelined for between four and six months, probably also putting him out of the Wallabies' entire Rugby Championship campaign.
Beale sustained the injury after slipping while contesting a high ball in the opening minute of the NSW Waratahs' 31-8 win over the Bulls at Allianz Stadium on Saturday night.
