'Tom Lynagh's had his head taken off': Lions star cited for dodgy act after TMO 'disgrace'

British and Irish Lions star Dan Sheehan has been cited by World Rugby for his cleanout that ended Wallabies pivot Tom Lynagh's night at Sydney's Accor Stadium.
Stan Sport's commentary team were stunned in the first half when Lynagh was forced off for a HIA yet there was no action from TMO Marius Jonker.
"The clean out from Dan Sheehan, oh (Lynagh) looked up too. He's hit him with a shoulder on the head. Marius Jonker has missed that and Tom Lynagh's not coming back on the field," Tim Horan said on Stan Sport.

Tom Lynagh braces for Dan Sheehan. Stan
The 22-year-old failed his HIA after his third concussion this season and legendary father Michael was shown comforting him and shaking his head on the sideline.
World Rugby intervened on Sunday as independent citing commissioner Adrien Menez picked up Sheehan's "an act of foul play contrary to Law 9.20 (a) (a player must not charge into a ruck or maul…)"
Sheehan's case will be considered by a committee comprising Wang Shao-ing, Val Toma and Mike Mika on Sunday.

Jonker further raised the ire of former Wallabies centre Morgan Turinui when he bizarrely stopped play in the second half for an innocuous play.
"One of the greatest wastes of time of all-time," Turinui says.
"Tom Lynagh's had his head taken off in the first half. That's what they decide to come in for?"
Wallabies coach Joe Schmidt was diplomatic after Australia's 22-12 win in wild weather as the Lions took the series 2-1.
"I haven't really had a good look at it," Schmidt said.
"I've got massive respect for Dan. There's a few things like that that will happen in a really physical contest.
"For us with Tom, he is still a young kid and we'll try to look after him and make sure that he's fully fit on the back of getting that knock. But I had a good chat to him after the game and he's pretty resilient.
"In live, we didn't see the incident, and it was probably a little bit later that we got a glimpse of it, and that's all I've seen so far.
"I'd rather not comment on it until I've seen it but there's always a difficulty for a TMO, I guess. He's watching in the main TV broadcast and then if he doesn't pick it up there, then he doesn't access the other angles because everything's happening so quickly."
