Stormers blank the Bulls in Super Rugby

The Stormers are yet to concede a point after two Super Rugby games and sit top of the ladder after their 13-0 win over the Bulls at Newlands.

The Stormers won their all-South African clash at home on Saturday with tries to hooker Jamie Roberts and winger Seabelo Senatla.

The Stormers' story so far has been their defence and they wouldn't budge again despite the Bulls having scrummaging superiority in the first half and long periods of pressure in the second.

Veteran Wales and British and Irish Lions centre Roberts, showed his value again to marshal the hosts' defensive line that gave the Bulls few openings.

The hosts led 3-0 courtesy of a Damian Willemse penalty goal before the first try of the game came just before halftime after an attacking lineout was followed with a stunning driving maul that led Roberts touching down.

Ten minutes into the second half, the Stormers were rewarded for moving the ball through the hands with Senatla turning on the burners to finish off untouched.

The Stormers opened their campaign last weekend with a 27-0 shutout of New Zealand's Hurricanes.
