'He would absolutely flourish': Big name Titans recruit set to switch back to rugby

Carter Gordon is reportedly on the verge of returning to rugby and making a play for the Wallabies No.10 jersey at the 2027 Rugby World Cup in Australia.
The talented but inexperienced Gordon - now 24 - was thrown to the wolves by Eddie Jones at the last World Cup in France.
Gordon then switched to the NRL with the Gold Coast Titans but an unusual neck injury held him back this season.

The Queenslander played just one first grade game due to a spinal fluid leak that eventually required surgery.
The Sydney Morning Herald reported that the Titans had granted Gordon permission to negotiate with Rugby Australia and the Queensland Reds were the likely destination.
Gordon previously played rugby for the now defunct Melbourne Rebels.

The Reds are led by Wallabies coach-in-waiting Les Kiss and have Test pivot Tom Lynagh on their books.
If confirmed, it is a big boost for RA on the back of Mark Nawaqanitawase's return to the code.
Former Wallabies star Quade Cooper is a fan.

"The player we should be targeting to get back is Carter Gordon," he posted on X after Australia's latest loss to New Zealand.
"With good coaching systems now in place, he would absolutely flourish and using the depth of Ben Donaldson, Tom Lynagh and old head James O'Connor."
