Multi-lingual Cheika dazzles world's media

Though the cauliflower ears tell a different story, Wallabies coach Michael Cheika is so much more than a battered old rugby forward.

Cheika once again solidified his reputation as one of sport’s great renaissance men with a dazzling multi-lingual display for the world’s media ahead of Australia’s World Cup quarter-final clash with Scotland.

He gave interviews in French and Italian as well as English after becoming fluent in both languages playing in Europe during his career as a rugged No.8.

Incredibly, the 48-year-old, who has coached in Italy, Ireland, France and Australia, also speaks Arabic fluently.

It’s not as if Cheika’s skills are confined to linguistics and rugby either, he is also a self-made millionaire in business after making his fortune in the fashion industry.

Cheika started his own distribution business after initially working for Australian fashion icon Collette Dinnigan.

He even once had dinner with Beyonce and didn’t know who she was.
