Hurricane bombs certain try

Hurricanes star Ardie Savea has ignored the old mantra of always use two hands when he bombed a certain try against the Waratahs in the Super Rugby.

The game was only three minutes old when the home side cut apart the visiting Waratahs with an incisive attacking display.

Finding the ball in his hands, openside flanker Savea broke through some shambolic defence but after having done the hard work, the former under-20 New Zealand international found a way to butcher the certain five-pointer.

With not a Waratah in the vicinity to make a tackle, Savea crosses the line, but instead of safely planting the ball with two hands, he tries to casually score one-handed.

However, Savea's confidence would take a battering after slow motion replays showed he had fumbled the ball before celebrating the try.
