'Definitely on the table': 3-0? Wallabies stars react to Lions' Glenn McGrath-like call

BRISBANE: British and Irish Lions rookie Henry Pollock has been hauling a stuffed toy all over Australia as he looks to take the leap from highlight reel favourite to genuine international star.
But Pollock's spirit animal seems more like Glenn McGrath as the Lions sounded a warning to the Wallabies ahead of Saturday's series opener at Suncorp Stadium.
"We want to come here and be the best Lions team ever," Pollock said.

"We've been talking about that loads, and 3-0 is definitely on the table. Hopefully, we can achieve that."
The Lions tour every four years, with Australia, New Zealand and South Africa on the rotation.
Their last 3-0 series victory in Australia was in 1904, while the 1974 team, which is regarded as the greatest ever, won three Tests and drew one in South Africa.

Australian cricket legend McGrath was famous for winding up England with 5-0 pre-Ashes predictions.
"I think that's definitely the ambition. It goes without saying, no one wants to lose a game," Itoje said when asked about Pollock's comments.
"It would be a bit weird if one of my team-mates said 'we want to win two and lose one', that would be a bit odd.

"I hope it's Australia's ambition too, to win all the games. We want to win every game we play. But all our focus is this Saturday, the other two games will look after themselves."
Wallabies superstar Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii was asked to respond.
"Yeah, I've heard about it," Suaalii said.

"We know there's going to be a lot of talk externally, but our biggest thing going into these big games is just focusing on ourselves and our teammates, and that's it."
Suaalii's teammate, Will Skelton, had a big grin on his face while accepting the underdog tag.
"I love it. We love it. Like Joe said, we're worried solely on ourselves. The Lions have played some great footy, and we want to showcase what we can do on Saturday," Skelton said.
