NFL: San Fransisco 49ers running back Raheem Mostert suffers horrific broken arm

San Fransisco 49ers running back Raheem Mostert's night was cut short against the Oakland Raiders after suffering perhaps one of the most gruesome injuries in recent memory. 

Mostert who had started the game brilliantly with 52 yard run was powering the 49ers in a dominant third quarter performance at Levi's Stadium.

But that was prematurely ended after he horrifically snapped his right arm clean.

Mostert had collected the ball in the backfield and was tripped from behind as he took off through the field. 

As he extended his arm to brace for impact, it snapped, folding back on to itself in a horrific scene as he crashed into the turf. 

The running back's screams could be heard on live TV as he was immediately tended to by trainers. 

He was promptly whisked from the field with no further part to play for the night, or for the rest of the season.

Despite the injury the 49ers managed to maintain their focus as they went on to blitz the Raiders 34-3.
