Pro snowboarder fools as 'Uncle Dave'
A professional snowboarder has undergone a dramatic makeover to fool some of the sport’s top riders in a new online video spoof.
Titled ‘Uncle Dave hits High Cascade’, the Friends Vision video features Jack Mitrani being transformed into the 56-year-old uncle of fellow boarder Mark Sollors before being let loose on the slopes of Mount Hood in the US for the High Cascade Snowboard Camp.
In the footage, the heavily made-up Mitrani successfully infiltrates the unsuspecting camp goers with his back-story that he’s come to watch his ‘nephew’ ride in person.
Telling kids, instructors and fellow professionals that he’s more used to ‘tennis and golf’, Mitrani tries to pull off a number of basic tricks but fails at each attempt, crashing into the snow with each poor jump and rail slide.
But with the onlooking crowd suitably confused as to why an old man is on the slopes, Mitrani asks Sollors, both members of the Burton Snowboard team: “Do you think I have a front flip in me? You told me to man up. I think I should try it.”
And with that, Mitrani leaves the crowd stunned as he slaps his board into the jump and successfully lands the difficult trick, receiving a standing ovation from some of the boarders.
