Referee plays spot the penalty

Poor refereeing decisions are part of every sporting landscape around the globe.

But there’s a difference between a poor decision and a deliberate one.

Misr Le Makasa and Al Ahly were locked at nil-all in their Egyptian Premier league clash when the referee blew his whistle awarding a penalty to Al Ahly, for no apparent reason.

MIsr Le Makasa worked the ball down the right flank and put a cross into the box in the hope of finding his striker.

When the ball finds a man in the area the referee blows his whistle and awards a penalty.

As you can imagine, the opposition players from Misr Le Makasa weren’t very impressed by the decision, protesting to the official about his decision to point to the spot.
