He's the king of X-games stunts and now Travis Pastrana has unveiled a stunning new move to add to his repertoire, called "the Aussie Roll".

Preparing for a Nitro Circus performance in London the dirt bike and mountain bike specialist hit a giant jump to produce an amazing double cork 180.

The gravity-defying move begins with a backflip before evolving into a spin and then a second backflip.

Pastrana, who delivered the world's first double backflip on a motorbike in 2006, said he had been working on "the Aussie roll" for three years.

"Woke up this morning tired, sick and beat up. And decided today was going to be the day to land a trick I've been working on for three years," Pastrana posted on a Red Bull site.

However, mystery still remains why the American dubbed the move "the Aussie Roll".
