Pacquiao-Horn fight deal close: advisor
Australian Jeff Horn's dream fight with boxing legend Manny Pacquiao on July 2 is set to be confirmed.
The two camps are in the final stages of negotiations, according to Pacquiao's advisor Michael Koncz, after an initial agreement to face off in April was torn up.
"We are finalising the terms," Koncz told Philippines news website Rappler via text message when asked about the Horn fight.
The location remains unknown but Suncorp Stadium, in Horn's hometown of Brisbane, slated to host the scrapped April fight, remains an option.
Pacquiao's promoter Bob Arum placed a Thursday (AEDT) deadline on the Filipino's camp to decide if he'll fight welterweight Horn.
The original fight agreement, announced in January, fell through as Pacquiao unsuccessfully chased a lucrative bout with former sparring partner Amir Khan in the United Arab Emirates.
