US gymnast strips on Parallel bars

It's the moment when Olympic gymnasts let their hair down and allow themselves a rare slice of fun amongst the cut-throat action of the Games.

But one competitor stole the limelight of the gymnastics gala when he performed one of the raciest routines ever seen in Olympic history.

A day after the last finals in the artistic competition, American silver medallist Danell Leyva used the gala as an opportunity to celebrate his success at this year's event.

Revving up the crowd with some simple moves, Leyva takes his position on the parallel bars and claps his feet together.

Suddenly, the 25-year-old stands up on the bars and, without losing any balance, starts gyrating provocatively.

He then proceeds to take off his leotard and, with the crowd wooing his every move, slides it seductively down to his waist.

The strip show proves that when he finally retires, Leyva will have more than few job offers coming his way.
