Tourists reportedly kidnapped in Rio

Three Swedish tourists were kidnapped while using an Uber service in Rio and taken to one of city's most dangerous favelas, it has been reported.

The tourists, two men and a woman, were photographers and had asked to stop to take pictures when they were approached by criminals and taken into the Complexo do Lins, in Rio's north, the website Extra reported.

They were taken early on Wednesday night on the Grajau-Jacarepagua highway but were released soon after and found by police.
