Russian boss attacks female wrestler

Russia was in the news for the wrong reasons leading into the Olympics and the cloud hanging over the team doesn't look like going away anytime soon. 

A female Russian wrestler has allegedly accused the head of of the country’s wrestling program of twice punching her in the face after losing the bronze medal match in the 63kg freestyle. 

Inna Trazhukova was defeated by Poland’s Monika Michalik and reportedly said she was attacked immediately after the match by Wrestling Federation of Russia chairman Mikhail Mamiashvili.

Mamiashvili, a former Olympic gold medalist in Greco-Roman wrestling, allegedly didn't try to deny the incident, but rather blamed Trazhukova for the confrontation.

According to a Russian newspaper's account of the incident, the 52-year-old Mamiashvili "spoke roughly, rude" to the 25-year-old Trazhukova before striking her twice in the face.

The "humiliated" Trazhukova reportedly said she refused to be a "slave" and planned to inform the prosecutor's office about the incident
