'Indictment on the game': Andrew Gaze fumes at Serbian's soft flop in quarter-final against Boomers

Boomers icon Andrew Gaze was left fuming after a blatant Serbia flop, calling the act "an indictment on the game" (watch video above) as Australia bowed out in a heartbreaking 85-80 overtime loss.
Serbia's Aleksa Avramovic tried to con the referee in Tuesday's Olympic quarter-final basketball clash in Paris, dramatically falling to the court after minor shoulder contact from Australia's Will Magnay as he ran to get into defensive position.
After a long review, officials determined the second quarter incident did not meet the criteria "of an act of violence" but nor did Avramovic get punished for his dive.

"No, you don't need that. That's an indictment on the game when you're doing that type of stuff," Gaze said on Nine.
"He's hearing the boos too. I reckon the fans agree that perhaps it's too much... please give me a spell. Come on.
"Now, that should be a technical foul for a flop. And Australia should be going to the line to shoot a free throw.

"There's nothing in that whatsoever."
Fuelled by guards Patty Mills and Josh Giddey, the Boomers made a blistering start at Bercy Arena and at one stage led their more fancied opponents by 24 points.
But Serbia fought back in the second half as villain Avramovic got in the act again - this time sending Dante Exum flying from the court with an unsportsmanlike foul.
