Aussie Jared Tallent wins silver in 50km walk

Australian Jared Tallent has won silver in the 50km walk after being overtaken in the final stages of the race in Rio.

The Australian champion led most of the race before Slovakian Matej Toth took the lead with only 2km remaining.

Talent fought off a final battle for third place to finish 18 seconds behind Toth, who finished the race in 3:40.58.
