Hockeyroos search for new head coach

The search is on for a new senior Australian women's hockey coach to replace the outgoing Adam Commens after the Rio Olympic Games.

Hockey Australia announced the recruitment process on Friday, a week out from the Rio opening ceremony.

Commens, who played for the national men's squad, confirmed in February he would leave the role as Hockeyroos coach at the end of his contract.

Former head coach of both the Kookaburras and Hockeyroos Ric Charlesworth will be a key member of the selection panel.
