Gatlin eliminated in 200m semi-finals

Controversial American Justin Gatlin has been eliminated in the semi-finals of the men's 200m at the Rio Olympics.

Gatlin finished third in his semi in 20.13 seconds, leaving him ninth overall.

Jamaican Usain Bolt stayed on track for a historic sprint triple triple by clocking the fastest time of 19.78.

Bolt has already pocketed a third Olympic 100m title in Rio and will also go for gold in the 4x100m relay later in the Games.
