Australian women miss K2 medals

Australia's young sprint kayak duo Alyssa Bull and Alyce Burnett have missed the Olympic medals in the final of the women's K2 500m.

The Queensland duo finished last at Lagoa Stadiumm after a disappointing start when they got leaves stuck on their paddling blades.

Barnett said they were still happy with their performance after setting a goal of reaching the Rio final.
