South Sydney sign Farah on two-year deal

Robbie Farah's time as a Tiger has officially come to and end.

The NSW Blues hooker has signed a two-year deal to join the Rabbitohs, running through until the end of 2018.

South Sydney leapt at the chance to sign the experienced hooker, who has been sitting on the sideluines ever sing current Wests coach Jason Taylor dropped him earlier this seaon.

Taylor told Farah the Tigers were looking to the future and he would not be in their plans.

But the Tigers loss was South Sydney's gain, said Rabbitohs coach Michael Maguire.

"Robbie has accomplished many things in the game and we look forward to him joining our squad and pushing for a spot in our top 17 each week," said Maguire.

"Competition for spots is a driving factor for success at any Club and by adding a player of Robbie’s ability we will be increasing that competition within our squad.

"Within our organisation we believe Robbie will strengthen our Club and we look forward to working with him when he joins us for pre-season training."

Souths granted incumbent hooker Cameron McInnes an early release from his contract at the end of the season so he could join the St George-Illawarra Dragons.
