Roosters score Harlem Globetrotter try

The Sydney Roosters have become the NRL's version of the Harlem Globetrotters after scoring one of the season's best and most unlikely tries against the Panthers.

The Rooster were trailing 20-10 midway through the second half of a rain-soaked round seven clash when they were given a lifeline in the form of a bizarre four-pointer.

The chain reaction of near-escapes and miracle-passes started when Jackson Hastings went to the air on the last tackle deep in Panthers' territory.

Centre Shaun Kenny-Dowall was able to bring the ball down but needed the help of some "volleyball" football before Latrell Mitchell was able to cross for one of the more extraordinary plays of the season.

However, the stunning try wasn't enough for the Roosters to grab a comeback win with the Panthers holding on 20-16.
