MELBOURNE'S 2016 NRL MINOR PREMIERSHIP:

* Melbourne finished on 42 points with 19 wins

* It was Melbourne's first minor premiership since 2011

* The Storm have finished on top of the ladder five times, however their titles from 2006-08 were stripped for salary-cap breaches

* Winger Suliasi Vunivalu's four-pointer against Cronulla was his 22nd for the season to set a new Storm try-scoring record, eclipsing the mark held by Israel Folau

* Melbourne will host defending champions North Queensland next weekend in a qualifying final
