State of Origin teams: Queensland Maroons team for Game 2
The Queensland Maroons have announced a 17-man squad for the second game of the 2017 State of Origin series, with Kevin Walters wielding the axe, dumping six players from the Game 1 17.
Sam Thaiday, Anthony Milford, Corey Oates, Aidan Guerra, Nate Myles, Jacob Lillyman and Justin O'Neill will all be missing from their Game 1 line-up after the 28-4 thrashing by NSW in Game 1.

The breakdown
Coach Kevin Walters has elected to pick a 17-player squad, not naming anyone in position on his teamsheet for Game 2 of the State of Origin series.
A squad sheet cannot hide the seven changes made to the side, which Kevin Walters labelled as inevitable after the last two results for the side.
Losses in Game 3 of the 2016 series and Game 1 of the 2017 series meant that the Queensland mentor had to look elsewhere, and that's come in the form of Valentine Holmes, Tim Glasby, Coen Hess and Jarrod Wallace.
He's also recalled Billy Slater and Johnathan Thurston to the team.
The victims of the sweeping changes include veteran forwards Sam Thaiday, Nate Myles, Aidan Guerra and Jacob Lillyman, winger Corey Oates and centre partner Justin O'Neill and injured five-eighth Anthony Milford.
It marks the most changes for Queensland in a decade, with the last time seven changes were made to a Maroons side being in 2007.
Walters was adamant that the selection of a squad was not an attempt to throw NSW off, saying that he simply selected the best 17 players.
"I just picked the 17 best players available for Queensland," he said.
"We'll sit down and look at positions in the coming week."
It also marks the most debutants Queensland will field in over 10 years, with David Middleton having to go back to Game 1 in the 2006 series, when there were seven debutants.
