Allan Langer leads the way for Queensland victory celebrations after State of Origin decider

Allan Langer had a reputation as a cheeky halfback who didn't mind a good time during his heyday and it appears nothing much has changed over the years.

Wide World of Sports had obtained footage of 'Alfie' taking centre stage for Queensland's victory celebrations in the dressing rooms after they wrapped up the State of Origin decider against NSW.

It's not hard to spot Langer as he's the only bloke who gets caught up in the moment and whips his yellow trainer's shirt off and waves it around his head as players chant the team song and the beer flows freely.

It wasn't the only highlight Langer provided on the night, after he stepped in to catch a wayward bomb from the Blues much to the delight of the hometown crowd.

With NSW looking for a miracle at 22-6 and with only five minutes on the clock, five-eighth James Maloney put up a cross field kick intended for his winger.

Unfortunately it was way too big and sailed over the sideline where it was caught safely by Langer. He quickly threw it in the air and punched his fist in celebration much to the delight of the crowd.

It was a performance worthy of a XXXX and judging by his shirt-ripping-off antics later on, we're tipping he might have had one or two.
