Snoop Dogg supporting Rabbitohs for NRL grand final

Rap star Snoop Dog has jumped aboard South Sydney’s grand final bandwagon after receiving a plea from Rabbitohs co-owner Russell Crowe.

Snoop Dogg, real name Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr, posted a picture on social media platform Instagram of an email from Crowe asking for the ‘Doggystyle’ artist to remember to watch the NRL decider.

“Mate can you make sure Snoop knows that South Sydney made the NRL Grand Final (Super Bowl),” Crowe asks in the email, addressed to Snoop’s agent Brent Smith.

The ‘Gladiator’ star even makes the effort to research which station will be playing the grand final in the US so there can be no chance the iconic hip-hop artist will miss the big event.

However, Crowe can rest easy with Snoop affirming his commitment to the red and white by captioning the post with: “Message from Russell Crowe let’s go!!!”

Crowe and Snoop Dogg are believed to be long-time friends with the actor helping the musician with the Australian Immigration Department in 2008, while Snoop met Rabbitohs players and visited disadvantaged youth in Redfern last year.
