McKendry suffers sickening knee injury

Panthers prop Sam McKendry suffered a shocking knee injury that has likely ended his season.

His knee crumpled and was left contorted at an odd angle after a tackle by Tigers prop Sauaso Sue 11 minutes into last night's match.Mckendry was left grimacing in pain, with teammates and tigers players trying to stop him from looking down at the injury.

He was taken from the field immediately.The Panthers took to social media to provide an update that stated the 26-year-old had suffered a “possible ACL and MCL injury in his right knee”.

It's another injury setback for a player who has suffered a few in his career, most notably a fractured neck in 2013.
