The Penrith Panthers will be looking to rise above the drama surrounding this club this week with a strong performance against the Warriors on Friday night.
Reports of a rift between Club CEO Phil Gould and Anthony Griffin have plagued the club in the lead up to round 17 after the Panthers recorded two disappointing back-to-back losses to slip to fourth on the NRL ladder.
Not only will a win do wonders to silence their critics but it will give them some much needed breathing room from the warriors with whom they sit on equal points with.
Meanwhile the Warriors will look to shake off last week's tight loss to the Sharks and kick ahead of the Panthers as they look to establish a strong run of form heading into the tail end of the season.
Their away form has been nothing short of stellar. Stephen Kearney’s team has played six games in Australia this season, for five wins, losing only to the Storm in an emotion-charged Anzac Day clash at AAMI Park.
