Mitchell Pearce is eager to make amends with his Sydney Roosters teammates after returning to training for the first time this week since his Australia Day drama, according to skipper Jake Friend.
Suspended for the first eight matches of the NRL season due to the incident, Pearce returned to Roosters training on Monday.

Friend said on Wednesday, Pearce knew he had to make it up to his teammates who opened the season with a 42-10 loss to South Sydney on Sunday.
