Broncos forward Reegan Hicks has been dealt a two-match ban after a dangerous tackle marred her NRLW side's 44-8 win over the Titans on Sunday, while Gold Coast captain Georgia Hale has copped a one-game suspension for another ugly incident.

Making her NRLW debut at 18 years of age, Hicks was sent off in the 57th minute for lifting Sienna Lofipo and driving the Titans forward into the ground head first.

In the same game at Cbus Super Stadium, Hale was put in the sin bin in the 53rd minute for wrestling Broncos forward Brianna Clark into an awkward position.

Hicks will serve a two-match ban if she accepts an early guilty plea, but three games if she fights the charge at the judiciary and loses.

Hale will be sidelined for one match if she takes an early guilty plea, but two games if she fights the charge and is unsuccessful.

"She just got her in an awkward position; that's what you don't want to see on a rugby league field," Maroon said.

Rugby league great Ruan Sims added: "I'm glad Sienna saw the ground coming and tucked the head because that could've ended up very, very badly."

Clark stayed down after the Hale tackle. She was attended to by medical staff and then left the field injured.

"She gets twisted and flung backwards, a grimaced pain on the face," Sims said.
