'She sits in the middle': Roosters coach reveals status of injured star for NRLW grand final

John Strange has admitted the fitness of Amber Hall remains up in the air as the Sydney Roosters prepare for Sunday afternoon's NRLW grand final.
The 30-year-old forward failed to return in the second half of last weekend's prelim against the Sharks due to a calf issue.
Hall has since been named in the extended squad for the Tricolours and could still be a late inclusion for the final 17 on game day at Accor Stadium.

Speaking to media on Thursday ahead of the decider, Strange was asked where Hall sat between one and 10 when it comes to taking the field against the Broncos.

"She sits in the middle at the moment, to be honest," the coach said.
"She played up until half time in the semi last week against the Sharks and she said it was a bit tight at half time. We just left her off, we didn't want her to re-injure the calf.
"She's been doing rehab this week and she will do a fitness test before the captain's run tomorrow and that will determine whether she plays or not."

Hall has been an X-factor off the bench this year for the Roosters, crossing for four tries and making five linebreaks in her 11 appearances.
The experienced Kiwi Ferns enforcer was part of last year's grand final-winning team.
Strange's side haven't lost a game this season and the NSW Blues boss admits that all of their success has come down to their efforts off the field.

"I think the secret for me to be successful with anything in life is to work hard," he said.
"That's what these girls do, we have high standards and expectations that we want the girls to meet.
"If you're looking for a secret, that's it."
The defending premiers will be without star playmaker Tarryn Aiken, who suffered an ACL injury towards the end of the regular season.
