Brisbane great Darren Lockyer believes lining up against Golden Boot winner Johnathan Thurston will inspire a lift in form for Broncos playmaker Ben Hunt.
Vilified for his crucial knock-on in last year's NRL grand final loss to North Queensland, Hunt will go head-to-head with Thurston for the first time since that fateful night on Friday.

"He is coming up against the best in the game, that may bring the best out of Ben," Lockyer said on Wednesday.
