Cowboys star Scott Bolton charged with indecent assault: report

NSW Detectives are investigating North Queensland star Scott Bolton over allegations of indecent assault.

The Cowboys star is alleged to have been involved in an incident at a Bondi bar on Saturday night.

Police were called to a licenced premises on Campbell Parade about 1050pm after a female patron reported she’d been indecently assaulted.

Police from Eastern Suburbs initiated an investigation. They arrested a 30 year-old man about 9:20am today.

Bolton was reportedly charged with assault with an act of indecency. He was granted conditional bail to appear at Waverly Local Court  on the 19^th of June.

The team is staying in Sydney in preparation for Thursday night’s clash against the Wests Tigers after playing in Bathurst against the Panthers.

The 30-year-old married his wife Michelle in 2016 and has played more than 200 NRL games for the Cowboys.

The NRL integrity unit is investigating the incident.

“We’re just trying to get the facts,” said Cowboys general manager Peter Parr told News Corp.

“We won’t be making a statement before we know more.”
