Penrith dynasty hero told he can talk to rival clubs
Penrith have given tough prop Moses Leota permission to talk to rival clubs and test the market, despite being under contract until the end of 2027.
NRL rules say Leota - the tough man of the Panthers pack - can’t talk to other franchises until November 1.

However, his manager Gavin Orr approached the club and the Panthers have since agreed to allow him to hold discussions with rival teams.
The hard man would be a great buy for the NRL’s two new franchises, the Perth Bears and PNG Chiefs, due to his toughness and experience.
“Moses loves it at Penrith, but he is 30 and will be 32 when he signs his next contract, so it will probably be his last contract,” Orr told nine.com.au.
“We just want to see what his value is and how he stands in the marketplace and it was good of the club to let him get in early and see where he is at. Penrith is home and he may well see out his career there - we will have to wait and see.”
Leota has taken over as the Panthers’ main man up from since James Fisher-Harris left for the Warriors last year and has done a great job getting the young forward pack on the front foot in big games.
A regular at Test level for the Kiwis, he played in all four Penrith premiership-winning teams and has played over 200 top grade games for the club.
He is part of a long list of Penrith stars currently unsigned beyond next season, headlined by co-captains Nathan Cleary and Isaah Yeo.
